Beijing holding the 2008 Olympics gave the world a impression with a long history and a rich cultue. Old China and new China. Frankly, I am of course very proud of born as a Chinese, to directly feel a country full of olds.
A history of more than 5000 years. I don't think I'm bigheaded, but I don't think Americans can realise how long it is. Only when you see the places of historical insterest around you and grow up with them, you can know them. Even a stone inscription, the words on it has lived for thousands of years. When you are facing them, you can clearly understand the emotion left over time, steping over thousands of years. This way of existing is just like the way human exist. One generation after one generation. Our wisdom, our knowledge, flow from the ancient time to today, just like the drops flow together to a river.
